There, he was swiftly attacked by the symbiotes, and taken beneath its crust, right to its core, to be a prisoner alongside Knull.

It was in the pages of Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman's current Venom series that we first learned Knull was being kept prisoner by the symbiotes at the heart of the planet Klyntar, a word that, loosely translated, means "cage." In Silver Surfer: Black #2, it's revealed that, during his time as a herald of Galactus, the Surfer once found himself on Klyntar. In truth, the black hole transported Norrin billions of years into the past, where he has just met a younger version of Knull. Now, Silver Surfer: Black #2 gives us the answer. At the time, we weren't sure exactly what this meeting meant given that, as far as we know, Knull is currently being held prisoner at the center of the symbiotes' home world, Klyntar. The Surfer found himself lost inside a black abyss for what seemed like eons, and he eventually crashed onto a small planet where he came face to face with Knull, the God of the Symbiotes.
